Salsa Bachata Wednesdays at Club Anastasia

Farewell to Salsa Bachata Wednesdays at Club Anastasia. Last event on March 25th, 2015. Stay tuned to a new venue opening on Wednesdays.

Baltimore has a great place for mid-week salsa and bachata dancing every Wednesday. Club Anastasia in Fells Point waterfront has opened it's doors to a weekly dance night presented by SalsaNow. You can expect the same great quality of lessons and events you are used to being held at this beautiful new venue.

The evening starts early with lessons and gives you 3 hours of dancing, ends early enough for you to get a full night's sleep before next work day. Great option for a get together with friends or co-workers over dinner and drinks, and stay to enjoy an evening of lively music and fun dancing.

Each hour the basics will be reinforced with another element added for progression. Intended for beginners of all levels. You can walk in and be ready for dancing by the time you walk out. LatinoFest 2011 and AfterParty

SalsaNow was once again invited and happy to participate in the 31st Annual LatinoFest held at the Patterson Park in Baltimore in June.

Niss and Alex Albaig taught salsa to those in attendance and the SalsaNow Student Performance Team entertained the crowds.

Proceeds benefit Education Based Latino Outreach. EBLO’s ongoing educational, arts and cultural programs offered free to the children and families of the Hispanic community of Baltimore.

The official LatinoFest After-party was held on Saturday, June 25th at the Luna Lounge located at 1225 Cathedral Street in Baltimore's Mt. Vernon. Music by a special guest DJ from New York, DJ Andy "el Mas Bailable" Rodriguez.

Alzheimer's Association Memory Ball 2012 - Saturday, April 14, 2012 Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel

Memory Ball 2012 'Dancing Stars'

Back by popular demand, once again the Alzheimer's Association Memory Ball will have the theme 'Dancing Stars.' Local celebrities will learn to ballroom dance and will then compete for 'votes' in the form of donations. The dancing couple that receives the most 'votes' will be named the winner. 'Voting' will take place before the Ball on the dancers' webpages and at the Ball where the dancers will perform their much anticipated ballroom dance.

SalsaNow is sponsoring Renee Wooding and Juan Alzamora in their efforts to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association Greater Maryland Chapter. They will be performing a Salsa Zumba routine. If you would like to contribute to their fundraising efforts by 'voting', please visit their webpage to read about them and 'vote' for them by making a donation.

Memory Ball "Dancing Stars," starts at 7:00 PM at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel with a Cocktail Reception followed by dinner and entertainment provided by our "Dancing Stars," who will perform and compete for your "votes." After dinner, guests will dance to music performed by Round Midnight. The Memory Ball is a black tie affair.

Discover what outdoor salsa in Baltimore is all about - dancing al fresco to hot Latin Beats.  It's sure to be another night to remember. We're starting at 7 PM for the lesson and 8 PM for music and dancing.

Waterfront Salsa at Tabrizi's - Discontinued 

SalsaNow presents Waterfront Salsa at Tabrizi's Thursday, September 3rd. Come experience the expansive space with spectacular views of the Inner Harbor and large dance floors to let your salsa soar. Treat yourself to a lesson - Beginner at 7:30pm and Intermediate at 8:15pm. Then let it all out on the floor as open dancing starts and goes strong until closing.

SalsaNow presents an encore event on Sunday, October 4th. Our first party at Mari Luna Latin Grill was over the top ... the rooftop.  The night of dancing was superb last time and got rave reviews. Join us for another night of dancing in the moonlight at Rooftop Salsa Party - Take 2. 

Get started with a Beginner Lesson at 6pm with Mike and Niss, the instructors of SalsaNow. Then it's dancing al fresco on the beautiful rooftop deck from 7-11pm. Cover is $10 for the lesson and dancing.

At the last rooftop party, things got hot on the dance floor during the warm summer evening. This time the fall weather should feel comfortable for dancing, but bring something keep the muscles warmed up between dances. In between dances, order a refreshing drink from the rooftop bar and indulge yourself with Mari Luna's delicious and authentic Latin dishes.

Mari Luna is located at 1010 Reisterstown Road in Pikesville. There is ample parking in front or around the restaurant. Should the weather not cooperate, the rain date is October 11th. Check back here for status update that will be posted by 2pm on the day of the event.

Amir is a newcomer to Baltimore from Northern Ireland (UK), where he learned, performed, and taught Cuban Salsa, Rueda de Casino and sensual Bachata under Salsa Cubana Belfast, Queens University of Belfast and Bachata Fever NI. He is extremely passionate and enthusiastic about dancing, making good friends and teaching others, so that others can enjoy dancing too. To quote Amir: "I believe dancing is like a language that anyone can use anywhere, anytime, and everywhere regardless of your age, nationality, language, career or anything else, so it CONNECTS people and thats what I LOOOVEEE to see."  Amir's main goal is not only to teach students how to dance with confidence on the dance floor, but also to teach them how to make friends and how to communicate with others which are the main fundamentals for a good confident dancer. He is very easy and open to communicate with and very approachable so please don't hesitate to ask him anything! Jennifer Fales

Jennifer's love for dancing started at the tender age of two and a half when her mother enrolled her in the first ballet class. Since then she studied classical ballet for over eight years, and have also had extensive training in international Latin and ballroom styles. More recently Jennifer made the decision to pursue her ballroom career further, which brought an end to her ballet training. Jennifer participated in numerous competitions all over the nation, and also competed against dancers from all over the world. She has national finalist titles in Youth 10-dance (Samba, Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive, Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, and Quickstep), Youth Latin (Samba, Chacha, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive), as well as being the 2013 World Pro-Am Youth Ballroom Champion. She was first introduced to salsa through Dancing with Grace Productions, where she was given the endearing nickname of “salsarella”. Currently training to be a SalsaNow instructor with Niss Albaig and gracing the dance floors of local dance venues as one of the most beautiful and talented dancers in Maryland.

Club Meador sits on 13 acres of field and woods, it’s very secluded and private. There’s plenty of space to pitch a tent and set up your camping supplies. Your favorite DJs and dancing into the night to fantastic music. Please join us for music, dancing, games, bonfire, and more!
